Pastors George and Dorie Mitchell
Pastor George and Dorie Mitchell are the senior pastors at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship.
They were married Aug. 26th, 1965. They have five children: Teresa (husband: Greg Watkins) – Tony (Wife: Dara) – Kathy (Husband: Darrin Cole) – Shannon (Husband: Keith Coon) – Matthew (Wife: Jenna) And they have fifteen grandchildren.
For the first six years of their married life, Pastor George and Dorie farmed 360 acres outside of Greensburg, Indiana. They moved off the farm in 1970, at which time Pastor George worked at R.C.A. in Indianapolis. After being laid off from R.C.A. in 1972, he then held a position at 7 UP, driving a delivery truck until 1973, at which time he became a screw machine operator at Delta Faucet in Greensburg, Indiana.
In Sept. of 1977, the Lord called him to be pastor of what was then called Faith Fellowship. (Which is currently Cornerstone Christian Fellowship)
He continued working at Delta Faucet until 1988 when at that time, went out full time as pastor. He and Pastor Dorie have worked along side each other fulfilling that position as to this date.
Pastor Dorie is also the Worship Leader and part time secretary at Cornerstone.
They both consider it an honor and a privilege to have been called to serve as pastors of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship.
